How you will learn:

This programme is designed for experienced trainers and facilitators who want to deepen their skills and confidently apply advanced facilitation techniques in a focused and flexible format. It combines expert-led guidance with blended learning to help you plan, deliver, and evaluate impactful learning experiences across diverse educational or workplace settings.

📚 Notional Hours:

200 notional hours including planning, facilitation practice, and evaluation of a learning intervention


🕒 Contact Time:

8 hours of facilitator-led online sessions spread over 4 days, with 26 days of guided independent preparation


📝 Assessment Duration:

2-hour on-site final assessment that includes facilitation observation, plan evaluation, and reflective reporting


📄 Certification Outcome:

Receive a Statement of Results issued by the ETD Quality Assurance Partner (QAP)

Planning and Preparing for Facilitation Learn to analyse learning needs, develop structured facilitation plans, and select appropriate methodologies and resources.
 🗣️ Module 3: Facilitating Learning
Facilitate interactive learning experiences confidently, sustaining oral interaction across a wide range of workplace and educational contexts.

📊 Module 4: Evaluating Learning and Facilitated Intervention Critically assess the effectiveness of your facilitation, review learner progress, and compile a reflective evaluation report to guide future improvements.

Entry Requirements

To enroll in this qualification, you should:

✔️ You have a minimum of two years’ experience as a trainer or facilitator of learning
✔️ You are actively involved in education, training, or skills development
✔️ You have a solid understanding of outcomes-based education principles
✔️ You are comfortable with planning, delivering, and reviewing learning interventions
✔️ You are ready to expand your facilitation practice using advanced tools and techniques

What to Expect from the Assessment Process:

Your journey to certification includes the following assessment steps:

✔️ Formative Assessments:
You’ll complete practical tasks and reflection activities throughout the programme, demonstrating your planning, delivery, and evaluation skills.

✔️ Final Integrated Summative Assessment (FISA):
Within four weeks of completing training, you’ll participate in an on-site 2-hour assessment. This includes an observed facilitation session, a review of your facilitation plan, and submission of an evaluation report.

✔️ Portfolio of Evidence (PoE):
You’ll compile a structured PoE containing your facilitation plan, session materials, learner feedback, and personal reflections aligned to programme outcomes.

✔️ Certification:
Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a Statement of Results issued by the ETD Quality Assurance Partner (QAP) confirming your competence as an advanced facilitator.

Janelle Gravett

Education, training & development practitioner

Janelle has been involved in the skills development area in industry sectors such as hospitality, travel, mining, manufacturing, business process outsourcing and services (BPS & O) and education and skills development.

She has a wealth of experience in learning and development methodologies and is an expert in the skills development legislation. ​ She is an Assessor, Moderator and Skills development Facilitator and works with a number of different SETAs.​

She has been part of the QCTO occupational qualification development team for SDF Administrator and Practitioner and part of the development team for the Contact Centre manager Occupational qualification. Currently Janelle is part of the CEP team for the development of the Occ Qualification for Sales and Marketing. ​
