Item 1 QMS Toolkit for the skills development provider

We have learned from experience how frequently we misjudge the time spend on creating a Quality Management System and this tool will save you time and money in the long term. The National Qualifications Framework requires providers to have a Quality management System (QMS) to ensure national credibility.

Quality assurance and quality control will be devolved to providers under the authority of QCTO delegated Quality Assurance bodies. Training providers need to demonstrate that a sound QMS is in fact in place and that all employees are fully conversant with the system, procedures and best practices as contained in the QMS. Quality means different things to different people, and that is why quality standards must be defined. This will ensure that all employees understand how to measure and how they will be measured, against the set quality standards. The notion of 100% quality all the time is not possible, however nothing prevents the training provider to continuously strive towards 100% quality.
